Oktoberfest Comes to the Newport Neighborhood of Jersey City
9/25/2015 2:14:43 PMLooking for fun and different things to do in Jersey City in early fall on a weeknight? The Newport section of Jersey City is hosting an Oktoberfest restaurant crawl on October 1st. Join them and Yelp! NJ to celebrate fall, and all things Bavarian, in the Jersey City waterfront community.
Similar to last year’s ‘Yelp’s Passport to Newport’ event, this event will be a bar/restaurant crawl, but with a fun new twist! Six restaurants, including Battello, Fire & Oak, Komegashi Too, Dorrian’s Red Hand, Bertucci’s and Loradella’s will participate and offer free samples of food and beer to attendees as they explore the Newport neighborhood and its food and drink scene.
We learned that guests will be asked to check in at Newport Town Square, 100 Town Square Place, where they will be able to pick up event lanyards and maps. Next, attendees will go to a photo station where they’ll have their picture taken in fun Octoberfest-themed photo booth (with props!), which will serve as their official ticket to participate in the crawl.
In addition to the all of the food, beer and camaraderie, the crowd will also enjoy coloring images of the event, as the map that guests pick up at the check in stand also doubles as an adult coloring book—cool idea, right? Color in your photos and post them on the event page’s art gallery at www.NewportYelp.com.
