New Jersey Networking Event for Local NJ Businesses: SchmoozaPalooza
11/2/2015 10:15:44 AMOn Thursday, October 15th more than 25 local businesses came together at the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce’s for the New Jersey business networking event, SchmoozaPalooza.
This wasn’t your average four-hour long networking event, either! Dozens of New Jersey and Jersey City businesses exhibited their products and services at the Culinary Conference Center at 161 Newkirk Street. The New Jersey businesses also heard about topics like increasing online sales, SEO enhancement and web development.
One of the exhibitors was Greg Edgell, the founder of Green Villain, a company that has organized more than 22 mural sites in the NJ area. Edgell came to the event looking for ways to create a mobile app for Green Villain that would map out the locations of the mural sites. “I hate that we're stuck to using [Instagram]," said Edgell, referring to the only app that his company can currently use to promote its projects.
Another local Jersey City business in attendance was Rokitt, a digital developer that showcased its Golokal app, which connects local business to consumers. At the event, Rodkitt offered 90-day free trials for businesses in Jersey City and Hoboken.
To end the night, the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce announced the SchmoozaPalooza awards, which were given to three exhibitors for their unique approach to and design of their tables.
Jewel Electric Supply Co was awarded first prize with a $50 gift card from Provident Bank. Rokitt took second and was followed by Liberty Savings Federal Credit Union, who came in third.
