On Wednesday, December 16^th the Wall Street Journal announced the launch of Ellipse, the waterfront building in Newport offering prime new real estate in Jersey City. LeFrak teamed up with Miami-based architecture firm Arquitectonica to design the elliptical-shaped building that will quite literally rise from the water. The sleek new look brings Miami-style to the Hudson River!

The 43-story building will consist of 376-units and amenities like a children’s playroom, an outdoor pool and a fitness center. Ellipse residents can also enjoy a private roof deck with a lounge, a BBQ area, a kitchenette and a fire pit. We can only imagine the views from the top, as it’s surrounded on three sides by water and has unobstructed views of New York City.

Ellipse will have studios, 1, 2 and 3-bedroom units as well as a few penthouses that renters from New York City, Hoboken and those relocating from other areas can pick from. The building will also feature a parking lot and locked bike parking for residents.

According to the website, “The Ellipse, Newport's most magnificent and luxurious residential tower yet, will be the crown jewel of the dazzling waterfront. This soaring glass beacon with stunning Manhattan views will not only redefine the skyline, it will raise the bar for an already exceptional developed community.”

Coming in at 444 feet and 6 inches, Ellipse will be the tallest building in Newport, as well as one of the tallest buildings in the Jersey City waterfront area.

The building of Ellipse is just one more way Newport is flourishing, LeFrak writes on their website, “Over the last few decades, Newport and Jersey City have changed dramatically, and Ellipse is the direct result of all the time, energy, and investment that helped create that remarkable transformation.”
