1/26/2016 9:38:49 AMTired of your go-to restaurants and bars in Jersey City? We know it’s easy to fall into a routine of visiting the same Jersey City restaurants because they’re easy and familiar. For the start of 2016, we put together a list of under the radar restaurants in Jersey City that are definitely worth the adventure!
Talde
About: If you haven’t checked out Talde’s newest location -- brought to Jersey City by Dale Talde, John Bush and David Massoni – it’s time to make the trip! Talde's menu is full of the comfort food you crave during the winter months, like Tagliatelle with Bolognese, Fish and Chips with a rouille tartar sauce and Freebird Fried Chicken with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes. Inside sources say the restaurant even has a secret speak-easy that opens after dark with a password … you didn’t hear it from us, though!

Dullboy
About: Jersey City’s first official cocktail bar opened recently in place of Park & Sixth and was already listed as Village Voice’s ‘Ten Best News Bars in NYC’. Congrats to Dullboy for being the only bar outside of NYC to be featured! The low-lighted ambiance perfectly complements the bar’s name, which is a tribute to a famous line in Stephen King’s The Shining. While Dullboy does offer a full menu, we recommend trying a few of their hit bar-snacks, like bacon-wrapped cherry tomato tacos and thick-cut rosemary potato chips.

Cosi
About: Located in the Newport section of Jersey City, Cosi offers yummy health-conscious options for locals. For those who have never been (or if it’s just been a while!) Cosi serves up sandwiches, wraps, soups and our favorite: a make-your-own-squagle. The fresh square bagels perfectly fit your choice of protein, cheese and veggies! It’s also just a short walk for those who live, work or play along the Hudson River waterfront.

Located in the Grove Street area, Dark Side of the Moo revamped its menu, adding house-made soy chorizo tacos, organic non-GMO kale salads and Indian-spiced black bean burgers. This spot will undoubtedly become one of the favorite restaurants in Jersey City among locals!
