Bwè Kafe offers authentic Haitian lattes and is the perfect spot to satisfy your sweet tooth with a fresh-baked pastry. The new café is located in the Newport section of Jersey City. A portion of each coffee sale goes to one of the two charities they are affiliated with in Haiti. Good coffee and a great cause? Double win!

Black Bear Bar & Grill is a popular spot for a night out with two floors and multiple bars that are stocked with micro brews and imported beers. With over 50 TVs, three 12-foot HD Wide Screens and a dart board, Black Bear is the perfect place to hang out and watch the game. They also offer a full food menu, which is available until 11PM Monday through Saturday and 10PM on Sundays.

Carlos Bakery is famous for its TLC hit show ‘Cake Boss.’ The original Carlos Bakery, where a majority of the shows were filmed, is in Hoboken. Since the show’s growth in popularity, they’ve opened 12 additional stores across the nation, one of which is in Jersey City! The new location even offers cake decorating classes. Head over to Carlos for a cannoli and maybe you’ll run into Buddy, the Cake Boss himself!

Cooper’s Union is the place to be if you’re into playing bar games. This spot has two separate bars—one in the front, one in the back—and shuffleboard available for anyone to play. Locally famous for its great bar food, we recommend trying the large soft pretzels and the mac n’ cheese balls. Yum!
