The following are unsolved crimes: Two men, one armed with an Uzi, robbed a construction company official of $11,000 on May 22. Darius Burgess, 28, was shot to death at a playground on June 8. An armed man in red dreadlocks robbed the Gulf Station on 12th and Erie on June 28. Five people were robbed at gunpoint in Greenville on June 9. Shawn Huff, age 19, died June 12 after being shot six times in front of 90 Hudson St. on May 23.A food delivery driver was carjacked at gunpoint near Bowers Street and Sherman Avenue in The Heights on June 28.
Solved crimes include the following: Anthony Washington, 19, of Ocean Avenue, was arrested for possession of a machine gun on May 25. John Perry, 28, and Angel Garcia, 18, were arrested for armed robbery in Journal Square on June 8. Fifty people were busted and illegal handguns were found at a “marijuana farm” on Neptune Avenue on June 24. Devon Carter, 25, was charged with murdering Kevin Miller after allegedly shooting him in the head at Bramhall Avenue and Sackett Street on June 29.
